About the role
About Enurgen Enurgen is building DUET — a generational platform for utility-scale solar that turns raw fleet telemetry into recovered revenue. We close the gap between what conventional monitoring can see and what it can diagnose, and across a portfolio it adds up to a lot.
At our core is DUET (DUal-sided Energy Tracer) — a 3D, physics-based energy yield model spun out of SUNLAB at the University of Ottawa and built on 10+ years of R&D. The DUET Platform runs per-timestep model-vs-field comparisons across the full 30-year asset lifetime, from design through construction to operations, automating detection, prioritization, and reporting at the component level. An AI agent on top enriches the analysis with context and patterns across portfolios.
About the job Enurgen is looking for a detail-driven individual to fill the role of Deployment Specialist and own the end-to-end deployment of renewable sites onto our DUET platform. This role takes a project from raw field data through to a fully validated, peer-reviewed energy model, and is accountable for the accuracy and integrity of every deployment that ships to a client.
What you'll do: You will be the specialist who turns operational data and site configurations into accurate, validated DUET models. You'll run the standardized deployment process end to end and carry each site through to a clean peer-review sign-off via the following activities:
Data Synchronization & Cleaning: Clean and validate meteorological and plant data Build and maintain data validation tooling and scripts
Modelling & Loss Investigations: Configure DUET model and simulations to accurately match real site behaviour based on received specifications Compare modelled output against field performance and provide high-priority lists of actionable on-site losses
Collaborate & Deliver Results: Work closely with the Performance Engineering team to keep the deployment process standardized and consistent Contribute ideas and feedback to refine the process in stride with DUET's development Act as a technical point of contact for clients, running deployment update meetings and walking them through model results, assumptions, and findings
What we're looking for: 1 to 3 years of experience in solar performance engineering, energy yield modelling, or a related data-heavy technical role Hands-on experience with Python for data cleaning, validation, and analysis Meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to QA/QC and peer review Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deployments with competing priorities Comfortable in a customer-facing role, building rapport with clients and representing the analysis directly and accurately An engineering, physics, data science, or similar technical degree is considered an asset
Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of SQL; experience with ClickHouse or another columnar/time-series database is a strong asset Solid understanding of utility-scale solar PV and what affects energy yield Familiarity with energy yield modelling tools (Ex. PVsyst or equivalent)
What we offer: Competitive salary based on experience Health and dental benefits Vacation policy with 3 weeks of PTO Flexibility to work remotely or hybrid in office in Ottawa Ongoing technical mentorship and development The opportunity to be an early and influential member of a growing team at the forefront of the clean energy transition
Requirements: Authorized to work in Canada
