s Key Responsibiliti esDesign, develop, and maintain APIs using IBM API Connect (APIC) and related technologie s.Manage the full API lifecycle: planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and retiremen t.Configure and manage API Gateway policies (security, throttling, rate limiting, transformations, etc. ).Integrate APIs with backend systems such as databases, SOAP/REST services, and microservice s.Ensure compliance with API security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS, SAML, etc. ).Work with DevOps teams to integrate APIs into CI/CD pipeline s.Monitor API usage, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize for scalabilit y.Document APIs and provide developer-friendly portals for external/internal consumer s.Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solution

Required Skills & Qualificat ions3–5 years of hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC) and DataPower Gateway, or equivalent API management and gateway platforms (e.g., Apigee, Kong, Azure API Management, AWS API Gatew ay).Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and API design best practi ces.Proficiency in API security protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, LDAP, SA ML).Proficiency in creating, maintaining, and validating OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications and generating developer-friendly API documentat ion.Experience in JavaScript, Node.js, Java, or Python for backend API developm ent.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Dock er).Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevO ps).Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving ski lls.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experien
