<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>As an Industrial Millwright with API, you will spend the majority of your time in our Fort Saskatchewan shop performing overhauls, repairs, fabrication support, and bench work on rotating and mechanical equipment, with periodic travel to client facilities for installation, commissioning, and field repair work. You will collaborate with welders, machinists, and other millwrights to deliver work that meets API's quality standards and our clients' expectations.</p><p> </p><p>This is a hands-on role suited to a tradesperson who enjoys variety - one week you may be tearing down a centrifugal pump for a complete rebuild, the next supporting a fabrication project, the next mobilizing to a site for a short-duration field job.</p><p> </p><p><strong><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, installation, and overhauls on pumps, fans, blowers, gearboxes, compressors, and other rotating and mechanical equipment</li><li>Complete shop-based equipment teardowns, inspections, and rebuilds to API and client specifications</li><li>Support fabrication and assembly work in coordination with welders and machinists</li><li>Read and interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and equipment prints</li><li>Perform precision alignments using laser alignment tools and dial indicators</li><li>Mobilize to client sites as required to assist with installations, commissioning, and field repairs</li><li>Mentor apprentices and less experienced shop personnel, fostering a collaborative team environment</li><li>Complete daily reports, time tracking, and job documentation accurately and on time</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with API safety policies and applicable regulations</li><li>Communicate effectively with the Field Services Manager, shop Manager, and clients</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><strong>Qualifications</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Journeyman Millwright Certification or Red Seal Interprovincial Certification (required)</li><li>5+ years of millwright experience preferred, with exposure to a variety of rotating and mechanical equipment</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues on the bench and in the field</li><li>Comfortable performing precision alignments with laser alignment tools</li><li>Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical prints, and OEM documentation</li><li>Familiar with the use of overhead and mobile cranes, MEWPs, forklifts, and other heavy lifting and access equipment</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with email and digital reporting</li><li>Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to think clearly under pressure</li><li>Open-minded approach to learning new techniques and adopting alternative methods</li><li>Strong commitment to personal and team safety</li><li>Valid Class 5 driver's licence</li><li>Supervisory or lead-hand experience is a bonus</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><strong>Pre-Access and Training Requirements</strong></strong></p><ul><li>API onboarding and orientation</li><li>Site-specific orientations as required by client facilities</li><li>Pre-access drug and alcohol testing with a successful clearance letter (within 30 days of site access is acceptable)</li><li>First Aid Level A</li><li>Common industrial certifications considered an asset: MEWP, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Forklift, Telehandler, WHMIS, CSTS 2020</li></ul></div>Company Description<div>API Industrial Services Inc. is a field and shop-based industrial services company with over 15 years of experience providing superior installation, maintenance, and overhaul/repair services for machinery and rotating equipment.
