About the role
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. Outdoors. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints. Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster. Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry. Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound. Estimate costs and materials. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Hand-eye co-ordination. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding.
