Work Conditions:

Use of a tablet is required for daily tasks and reporting

Work in various locations across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and BC.

Ability to work rotating shifts and extended hours, including weekends, as required

Willingness to travel and work out of town

Reliable transportation to access job sites

Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather and environmental conditions

Be able to work outside in various climate conditions.

Physically demanding role requiring bending, lifting and manual labour
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, and graders in support of pipeline construction and maintenance
- Perform precision excavation around live pipelines, including hotline excavation
- Operate excavators for trenching, lifting, backfilling, and site preparation
- Conduct spooning operations to safely expose and clean around existing pipelines for repairs and tie-ins
- Ensure trenches are excavated to proper depth, alignment, and grade in accordance with project specifications
- Work closely with ground crews to support safe and efficient pipe installation
- Maintain a strong understanding of ground disturbance regulations and safe excavation practices
- Apply proper rigging techniques and assist with safely lifting and placing materials into excavations
- Operate dozers and other equipment for grading, clearing, and right-of-way preparation
- Load, move, and unload materials and equipment as required
- Perform pre-operational inspections and complete daily equipment checks
- Clean, lubricate, and refuel equipment, ensuring it remains in safe working condition
- Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns to the site supervisor promptly
- Follow all company and client safety policies, procedures, and HSE requirements
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge/experience with pipeline operations within the oil and gas industry
- Required Safety Tickets:
- CSTS 20
- H2S Alive
- Standard First Aid – Level C CPR/AED
- Ground Disturbance – Level II
- Confined Space (Job Dependent)
- Successful completion of pre-employment occupational testing, including:
- Drug and Alcohol
- Audiometric
- Hearing Protection Fit
- Respirator Mask Fit
- A valid driver’s license and safe driving record (may be required)
