Modern farrow to wean operation looking for farrowing and breeding technicians.

Job Duties

• Follow and enforce biosecurity protocols and animal welfare codes of practice
• All aspects of breeding/raising pigs including processing piglets, moving sows, piglets and boars
• Maintain health of the herd
• Carry out feeding routine and provide water for the animals
• Monitor herd health and properly handle and administer medications and vaccines as required
• Pressure wash and ensure rooms are clean and sanitized
• Maintain barn machinery and equipment
• Ensure proper ventilation and manure management
• Report any safety concerns to a supervisor
• Maintain detailed records
• Perform other duties as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
