Job Purpose

Duties to include, but not limited to

Installation and Wiring: Assist with pulling wire, bending conduit, and installing electrical boxes, switches, lighting fixtures, and receptacles. System Assembly: Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) to help assemble and install electrical panels and distribution equipment. Troubleshooting and Repair: Support the diagnosis of malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using testing equipment to identify the source of breakdowns. Material Management: Maintain, organize, and stock tools, equipment, and materials on the job site. Safety Compliance: Follow the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, Regulation, and Code, along with company safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures.

Education, Experience And Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with strong foundational math skills. Completion of a pre-employment electrical program is an asset. Code Knowledge: Familiarity with, or a willingness to learn, the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC). Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and scaffolding, work in confined spaces, and perform duties outdoors in varying Alberta weather conditions. Driver’s License: A valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to various job sites. Apprenticeship Registration: Must be registered as an apprentice in Alberta, or eligible for immediate registration, through Alberta’s apprenticeship system. Working Conditions

Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 4:00 (with a one-hour paid lunch break); flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed. Primary location: Enoch Cree Nation Housing, with occasional travel to various sites. Physical fitness required (ability to walk, climb stairs, lift to 50 lbs, etc.). A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. Repetitive Lifting Must sign and adhere to the Enoch Cree Nation Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
