Overview:

Position Summary

The Lube & Tire Technician is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance and tire services in accordance with OEM and dealership standards. This entry-level role supports the Service Department by ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality work on customer and inventory vehicles. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail oriented, and eager to grow within a professional dealership environment.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and lubrication tasks.
  • Conduct tire services such as mounting, balancing, repairs, rotations, and tread inspections.
  • Complete multipoint inspections and document findings on repair orders in a clear and consistent manner.
  • Identify basic maintenance and safety concerns and communicate them to senior technicians or Service Advisors.
  • Follow OEM repair procedures and dealership workflows to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
  • Properly use shop tools, lifts, torque equipment, and safety gear.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
  • Assist technicians with basic repair tasks as skills and training progress.
  • Support proper vehicle handling, including parking, moving, and preparing vehicles for service.
  • Participate in required OEM or dealership training programs and development opportunities.
  • All other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Previous automotive maintenance or tire service experience is an asset but not required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive service.
  • Ability to safely operate tools, shop equipment, and vehicle lifts.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed instructions.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Willingness to participate in OEM training and pursue technical development.
