Job Description & Requirements
Purpose of Position
The Maintenance III position works with the Maintenance team and may be responsible for activities in one or more of the following areas: carpentry (e.g., building cabinets and other projects), electrical (e.g., installation and maintenance of electrical components – heating, ventilation, air conditioning, fire alarm), utility (e.g., welding, repairs, maintenance), heating (e.g., heating and cooling systems – boiler), and painting.
Duties and Responsibilities
Are established by the Supervisor of Facilities within the parameters of the job profile.
Required Qualifications
- Class 5 Power Engineering Certificate (for Custodial relief).
- Specific maintenance/technical knowledge, including the ability to assemble, repair, renovate, maintain, and install equipment and materials.
- Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Effective basic computer skills.
- Effective basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Effective moderate interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- WHMIS training/certification.
- Asbestos removal training/knowledge.
