About The Role
1Click Energy Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Heat Pump Service Technician to join our growing HVAC team in Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and occasionally installing residential heat pump systems while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair air-source and cold-climate heat pump systems. Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal tune-ups. Assist the installation team when the need arises Complete service reports and work orders accurately. Follow all safety procedures, manufacturer specifications, and industry standards. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of HVAC service experience. Valid 313D Refrigeration license. Valid Ontario Gas Technician 2 (G2) license. Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certification required. Experience servicing leading heat pump brands is an asset. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Valid Class G driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable using mobile devices to complete digital work orders.
Preferred Skills
Experience with inverter-driven and variable-speed heat pump systems. Familiarity with smart thermostats and HVAC controls. Sheet metal and refrigeration experience is an asset. Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
