About the role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Operate heavy equipment. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products. Shovel cement and other materials into cement mixers, spread concrete and asphalt on road surfaces using shovels, rakes and hand tampers. Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures. Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas. Drive and operate air-track or other drilling machines to bore large blast holes to specified depths at staked positions in open-pit mine or quarry. Operate drilling machines to drill blast holes in rock at road or other construction sites. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Manual dexterity.
