POSITION SUMMARY
The Mobile Maintenance Reliability Specialist is responsible for supporting the reliability, availability, and lifecycle performance of mobile mining equipment at the Quintette Mine. Working closely with the Mobile Maintenance Manager, Superintendents, Planners, Supervisors, and maintenance crews, this role provides technical reliability expertise to improve maintenance effectiveness, reduce unplanned downtime, and support safe, efficient achievement of site production targets.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Asset Reliability & Maintenance Support

Work closely with the Mobile Maintenance Manager to develop and implement reliability strategies for the fleet of mobile mining equipment.

Support Maintenance Superintendents and Supervisors in improving equipment availability, performance, and lifecycle outcomes.

Lead and support equipment failure investigations with Supervisors and maintenance crews; ensure root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.

Provide reliability input into equipment modifications, rebuild strategies, and maintenance improvement initiatives.

Support consistent application of maintenance standards, procedures, and best practices across mobile maintenance activities.
Planning, Analysis & Continuous Improvement

Collaborate with Planners to ensure maintenance strategies align with reliability and lifecycle objectives.

Analyze maintenance, breakdown, and performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Develop, monitor, and report on key reliability and performance indicators.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime and improve maintenance effectiveness.

Support development and optimization of preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
Safety, Risk & Team Collaboration

Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Work with maintenance and operations teams to identify and mitigate equipment-related risks.

Participate in incident, near-miss, and equipment damage investigations as required.

Provide technical guidance and reliability support to the mobile maintenance department.

Foster effective communication and collaboration across maintenance, planning, and operations teams.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline; an equivalent combination of technical education and practical field experience will also be considered.

3–5 years’ relevant experience in maintenance and/or reliability roles within mining or heavy industrial environments.

Demonstrated experience in maintenance and reliability of mining assets or heavy industrial equipment, including reliability improvement and failure analysis.

Strong background in mobile mining equipment, including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, drills, or equivalent heavy mobile assets.
-
Experience working closely with maintenance leadership, planners, supervisors, and frontline technicians in a site-based environment.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

Strong verbal and written communication skills to support effective coordination, safety compliance, and clear technical guidance.

Ability to foster a positive, safety-focused culture grounded in teamwork, integrity, and operational excellence.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn site-based maintenance and reporting systems.
-
Effective time and priority management to respond to dynamic operational needs and unplanned events.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
-
Proactive, collaborative approach that supports maintenance teams in achieving safety, reliability, and production objectives.
WAGE AND BENEFITS
Conuma Resources offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The compensation range for this position is $100,000 – $135,000 annually, with final placement within the range determined by experience, qualifications, technical expertise, and demonstrated capability. The role is also eligible for monthly efficiency bonuses, quarterly retention bonuses, and a performance-based bonus.
Benefits include paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental coverage.
