Role Description The Postdoctoral Researcher in Perinatal Epidemiology will conduct quantitative research on maternal, fetal, and infant health outcomes, including study design, data management, and statistical analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing research protocols, analyzing large epidemiologic datasets, preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, and contributing to grant applications. The role involves close collaboration with faculty, clinicians, and interdisciplinary research teams, as well as mentoring students and participating in seminars and research meetings. The researcher will disseminate findings through conference presentations and other scholarly outlets, while adhering to ethical standards in human subjects research and data protection. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the United States. Qualifications Doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, or equivalent) in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, maternal and child health, or a closely related field. Demonstrated expertise in perinatal, reproductive, or pediatric epidemiology, including familiarity with relevant clinical and public health concepts. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with experience in study design, data management, and statistical modeling for observational research. Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS) and ability to work with large administrative, cohort, or registry datasets. Proven track record of scientific writing, including peer-reviewed publications, and ability to prepare research reports, manuscripts, and presentations. Solid understanding of research ethics, data privacy, and responsible conduct of research involving human participants. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and support junior trainees. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently on-site. Experience with grant writing, knowledge synthesis, or systematic reviews in perinatal health is an asset. Interest in contributing to an inclusive, respectful academic environment and engaging with diverse communities.
