About the role
The expected base salary range for this position is $88/Hr - $93/Hr, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity. The Company offers a total rewards package in accordance with all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and requirements. Benefit eligibility and offerings vary based on role, employment status, and work location. AI/ML Engineer - Expert About the Team: The Agentic Engineering team within Advanced Threat Operations is building next-generation AI agents to automate and enhance cybersecurity threat hunting workflows. These agents are designed to navigate, analyze, and interpret large volumes of security event data in a manner similar to human threat hunters. This is a highly collaborative, engineering-focused team where developers are expected to contribute ideas, participate in design discussions, and rapidly deliver production-ready solutions. The team is currently expanding and seeks experienced engineers who can immediately contribute to building and scaling production-grade agentic systems.
Project: Agentic Threat Hunting The team is developing AI-powered investigation and threat hunting agents that assist cybersecurity operations by: Analyzing large-scale security telemetry and event data Automating investigative workflows Supporting cyber threat hunting activities Establishing reusable agentic development patterns for future security-focused AI systems
Key Responsibilities: Design, build, evaluate, and deploy production-grade AI agents Develop and enhance existing Python-based agentic systems Work closely with cybersecurity subject matter experts to understand business problems and design effective AI-driven solutions Debug, test, monitor, and improve agent performance and reliability Evaluate agent correctness, performance, and scalability Research emerging agentic AI frameworks, techniques, and best practices Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making Build robust context-engineering pipelines for effective LLM utilization Collaborate with the broader enterprise AI community to align with organizational standards and best practices
Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Technical Skills: AI / Agentic Engineering Proven experience building and deploying production-grade AI agents Strong understanding of agentic architectures and workflows Hands-on experience evaluating AI agents for correctness, reliability, and performance Deep understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), their capabilities, limitations, and operational considerations Strong context-engineering skills, including data curation, compression, retrieval, and information structuring for LLM consumption
Software Engineering: Strong Python development experience Experience building scalable backend systems Deep understanding of language internals and performance considerations, including: Concurrency models Memory optimization Performance bottlenecks System scalability
Infrastructure & Tooling Experience with: Kubernetes / OpenShift GitHub Actions MongoDB PostgreSQL Redis Langfuse or similar observability/evaluation platforms
AI Development Tools Extensive experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent tools in day-to-day development workflows
Preferred Qualifications Cybersecurity domain experience
Familiarity with security platforms such as: CrowdStrike Splunk Mandiant
Experience with agent frameworks such as: LangGraph AutoGen Claude Agent SDK Custom orchestration frameworks Ability to evaluate tradeoffs between framework-based and custom-built agent architectures
