Role: Quality Inspector Work location: Grande Anse, New Brunswick
Job Description: "The purpose of this project is to monitor, inspect, and report on the handling, storage, and transportation of critical turbine components, with a particular focus on rotor blades. As a Quality Inspector/ Qualified field support specialists (QI) you will: Monitor all handover operations of turbine components (primarily blades) between transport legs. Verify compliance with Nordex transport manuals and HSE minimum requirements. Document cargo conditions through comprehensive reporting, photography, and video recording. Execute authority to stop operations on behalf of Nordex when deviations are identified. Provide immediate escalation per established communication matrices. In detail, the check points that the Quality inspector has to INSPECT (just visual inspection tasks) will be:
- Conducting factory, yard, and port checks according to the control plan and work instructions for various Nordex blade models.
- Completing checklists and sharing the results.
- Inspecting incoming goods for frames and clamps tooling in yards/ports, reporting any potential issues or deviations.
- Assembling TIP FRAME and Clamp for all current and future blade mod-els.
- Moving blades to new positions for repositioning the TIP FRAME.
- Repositioning the blades TIP FRAME, documenting the process with videos and pictures.
- Checking for external damage, dents, and other visual aspects on blades and frames before and after truck loading.
- Loading blades onto trucks, documenting the process with videos and pictures.
- Lashing and securing blades on the truck, documenting the process and filling out checklists.
- Unloading blades from the truck to the next vessel, documenting the process with videos and pictures.
- Checking for external damage and ensuring compliance with check-lists before and after truck unloading.
- Ensuring that frame locking mechanisms are correctly positioned be-fore loading blades onto the vessel.
- Ensuring the integrity and securing status of blades in storage yards."
