In this role, you will be responsible to provide structural design and detailing to complete fabrication drawings for the structural drafting/ drafting for the gas turbine and environmental industry. The role will also act at times as project management for certain projects.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Use AutoCAD/Solid Works to prepare accurate models and detailed shop drawings.</li><li>Check, review and organize drawing packaged to meet detailing standards, customer expectations and required specifications</li><li>Verify the accuracy of drawings and documents (ie. Review drawings vs. specifications, standards, etc.) and revise as necessary.</li><li>Issue drawings to the shop for fabrication in accordance with production schedule.</li><li>Regular monitoring of project schedules, ensuring on time delivery of drawings</li><li>Requisition material in accordance with schedule requirements</li><li>Provide routine schedule updates to customers, holding customers accountable for required deliverables</li><li>Immediately advise the operations manager of delays in customer performance against the schedule</li><li>Prepare work orders and bills of material</li><li>Finish work within project timelines and budget hours.</li><li>Promptly communicate all issues and changes that could impact the project schedule or scope to the Project Manager or Operations Manager</li><li>Check the work of other detailers as required.</li><li>Taking on and managing multiple projects.</li><li>Immediately advise Sales group of variances to turnover on projects ensuring that non-quoted activities are captured and commercially resolved prior to moving forward on the changes.</li><li>Communicating with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.</li><li>Recognize project risks and ensure that mitigation strategies are in place to reduce the risk</li><li>Recognize project opportunities and exploit for the benefit of the project result.</li><li>Promptly communicate all issues and changes that could impact the project schedule or scope to the Operations Manager</li><li>Assist the manufacturing team during the execution of projects when question or issues arise</li><li>Regularly meet with the lead supervisor and team lead to establish open communication throughout the project life cycle</li><li>Work with the quality team to define project expectations, required testing and ITP development</li><li>Work with the purchasing team to ensure customer specifications are met, and material delivery requirements are met</li><li>Managing documentation: Material Requisitions. BOM?s. Transmittal of documents: customer and shop. Master ship lists. Paint specifications. Cost extras. Etc.</li><li>Follow the developed CPF Engineering Standards to ensure consistency in all company efforts.</li><li>Ensure on time, on budget and customer satisfaction on all projects</li></ul> <br> <ul><li>Mechanical / Civil / Industrial engineering technician / technologist</li><li>Self motivated, self starter with good communication skills,</li><li>Knowledge in steel fabrication, welding.</li><li>7+ years of work experience.</li><li>Proficient of Cad tools: Acad, Solidworks</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel & word.</li><li>Ability to read blueprints.</li><li>Excellent drafting skills</li><li>Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.</li></ul>
