About the role

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate a range of tools and machinery to ensure high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Perform TIG welding on various metal parts according to detailed blueprints and schematics
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine welding specifications
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and fabricate components
  • Operate plasma cutting machines, press brake machines, and other manufacturing machinery
  • Conduct rigging operations and assist with crane setup for heavy lifting tasks
  • Measure materials precisely using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices
  • Perform machining tasks as needed to prepare parts for welding or assembly
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality specifications
  • Assist in ductwork fabrication, assembly, and installation when required
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven experience in TIG welding within a manufacturing or construction environment
  • Mechanical knowledge of machinery, tools, and fabrication processes
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
  • Familiarity with plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Knowledge of rigging procedures and crane operation is a plus
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
  • Experience with machining operations using calipers and other precision measurement tools
  • Ability to work with assembly components including ductwork or structural steel as needed
  • Familiarity with schematics related to manufacturing or construction projects
  • Valid certification in welding (such as AWS certification) is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
