You must have good safety awareness, good communication & competent decision-making skills, and a desire to perform requested duties with a focus on safety and appropriate precautions. Responsibilities

Perform welding duties using wire welding GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux CoreArc Welding), or SMAW (Stick Welding) Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by procedures, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions. Welds range from simple tacks to complex welds, performed in varying positions Work includes set-up, laying out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and/or equipment products Operate and/or use related equipment and tools which include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders (portable & bench), cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, a tape measure, and Air Arc Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follow manufacturer's instructions; troubleshoot malfunctions; call for repairs and complete the daily check sheets Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures Maintain level of work performance in accordance with standards and/or job order specifications Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Performs other duties as assigned Willing to perform/engage in mechanical repairs when welding duties are not required Able to perform field service repairs/work in remote locations
