Automation and Controls Engineer/Specialist

Our Automation and Controls Engineers/Specialists develop and implement solutions to optimize production processes, improve plant safety, product quality, and production throughput. They are responsible for controls standards, PLC/HMI programming, equipment commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting of control system issues and project support. We’re looking for an Automation & Controls Engineer/Specialist to join our Oriented Strand Board (OSB) mill located in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. Meadow Lake employs 155 employees and safely and sustainably produces 680 million square feet of OSB every year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

A qualified Trades Certification with relevant experience**,** an Engineering degree, or an Engineering Technical Diploma.

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment (forest products manufacturing preferred).

Experience with PLC programming such as Allen Bradley, HMI or Rockwell (Rockwell Studio 5000 preferred).
-
Experience with Human Machine Interfaces.

Proficient with FactoryTalk software (View, Linx, AssetCentre, etc.).

Experience with industrial machine automation.
