About the role

We are seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Supervisor to support our clients' growing and diverse operations.

This position will require you to travel to multiple job sites and be on call as assigned.

The Regional Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for performing/overseeing general facility and property maintenance of our Kamloops, Kelowna, Abbottsford, Penticton, Grand Prairie, Terrace and Fort McMurray facilities.

The duties will include routine maintenance inspections of boiler rooms, hvac units, overhead and man doors, pumps, motors, and associated equipment.

Painting, drywall repairs, ceiling tile replacement, caulking, and small plumbing repairs. Completes corrective maintenance and repairs, records service reports as required.

Respond to tenant maintenance requests.

Responsibilities: • Review preventative & corrective maintenance work orders daily. • Work under limited supervision. • Manage trades and suppliers for each site • Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency. • General knowledge of plumbing systems and ability to perform basic plumbing repairs • General knowledge about boilers, and HVAC units (RTU), pumps, fan units, control panels, thermostats • Perform and document regular facility maintenance inspections for each site/facility. • Generate and present regular corrective action updates of facility and/or tenant-initiated issues. • Respond to tenant’s service requests within standards established for safety, time, comfort, and cleanliness. Respond to tenant service requests in a timely and professional manner while maintaining safety standards and procedures. • Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures. Respond to alarms for the facilities including emergency systems, pumps/motors, and boiler systems. • Maintain a high level of communication with our tenants, ensuring they are informed on any issues that may arise. • Perform assigned repairs and emergency troubleshooting. • Ensure the planned maintenance programs/activities for the properties are completed on budget and time. • Inspect the work performed by outside contractors. • Perform physical duties including but not limited to minor plumbing, carpentry, masonry, minor electrical and drywall repairs, climb ladders, moving furniture, lift/carry heavy loads as needed. • Inspect and maintain all safety equipment including fire pumps, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and fall arrest equipment. • Comply with all corporate policies/processes and safety protocols/procedures while carrying out all assigned tasks. • Comply with all applicable municipal, provincial and federal codes and regulations. • Willingness to travel to various sites as/when for contractual compliance. • Perform other various similar and related duties as required by Management. • On-call evenings, weekends and holidays – as needed. • Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment. • Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service. • Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives. • Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED. • Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience and/or trade school training. • Preference will be given to candidates who have earned their journeyman certification in either electrical, HVAC or plumbing designation. • Experience in facility maintenance or a construction environment. (Aviation preferred) • Valid Class 5 Drivers License (must provide Driver’s Abstract). • Set of own basic tools required. • Able to obtain a Transport Canada Security Clearance. • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work as a team, and work independently. • Strong computer skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Excellent verbal and written communication with social skills • Professional, punctual, meticulous, and diligent. • Able to work both collaboratively and independently as a productive member of the Developments’ team. • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
