Could you be the full-time Bogie/CAD Industrial Designer in St-Bruno (QC), Canada, we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical design expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.

You'll contribute directly to the development and validation of innovative bogie solutions, ensuring their functionality and seamless integration. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as engineering, production, and testing teams), perform technical reviews, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of creating 3D models and technical specifications, but also support production and testing phases.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Carrying out feasibility reviews for bogie and master plans during tender phases
  • Performing definition reviews and managing technical objects (e.g. nomenclatures, status)
  • Developing 3D models and conducting pre-calculations for sizing
  • Writing technical specifications and definition plans
  • Preparing responses to tender clause-by-clause requirements
  • Participating in product testing and ensuring quality interfaces

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience or understanding of general and technological mechanics (2–3 years of experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g. welding, machining, design of molded or forged parts)
  • Familiarity with material resistance concepts and cost optimization principles
  • A strong sense of rigor, autonomy, and respect for deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills, adaptability, and open-mindedness
  • Proficiency in French and English is required. Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset when working with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and customers. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects

  • Utilise our inclusive and flexible working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards senior technical roles or leadership positions

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset to facilitate communication with our partners, suppliers, colleagues, and international clients. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
