Responsibilities

Provide advice on: Testing strategy Test plans Selection of testing tools Identification of resources required for testing Plan and organize testing efforts for large systems in: GUI (Graphical User Interface) Non-GUI environments including execution of: Systems integration tests Specialized tests User acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests) Develop test plans, test scripts, and test cases; execute them against various components. Work with testing lead, IT lead, and project team members in analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of required systems. Execute: Functional tests Integration tests System tests Regression tests Validate that the system behaves as expected under various conditions. Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like: ALM JIRA Bugzilla Azure DevOps Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like: Micro Focus UFT OpenText UFT Selenium Test Complete Postman Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Conduct performance, stress, and load testing to ensure the system can handle expected user traffic and data volumes. Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations/standards. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to clarify requirements and ensure quality. Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives. Maintain detailed documentation of: Test results Test coverage Quality metrics Provide input for user manuals and release notes.
