Transdev is hiring a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician or Truck and Transport Technician for our Fort McMurray location on a rotational basis (14/7 or 7/7)

What You’ll Do

Daily maintenance, including preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and safety checks Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and equipment, including brakes, engines, suspensions, drivetrains, hydraulics, fuel injection, and electronics Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire changes, lubrication, and cleaning Remove, overhaul, and reinstall mechanical components with minimal supervision Complete accurate work orders and maintain detailed records of maintenance and parts used Move vehicles safely between work areas and perform test drives to ensure proper performance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop that meets Transdev standards Identify safety hazards, report major observations, and take corrective action as needed Share knowledge with team members to support skills development and operational excellence Supervise the work of apprentice technicians, coaching and mentoring them as they develop their skills Follow all company policies, procedures, and maintenance standards Assist with additional responsibilities or projects as requested

What You Bring

Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician or Truck and Transport Mechanic certification Class 5 driver’s license CVIP Licence Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills Proficiency with computers and digital maintenance systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends
