Job Description: The client is seeking Senior Site Reliability Engineers (SRE IV) to support a high-priority Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) initiative involving new vendor software implementation This is a project-driven role within a small, specialized team of 5–6 people, requiring an individual with a strong engineering mindset and a sense of ownership The selected candidate will operate as a subject matter expert, addressing highly complex and multifaceted infrastructure and development-related issues, often independently The role demands excellent troubleshooting skills, readiness to contribute within a complex and critical financial environment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities: Deploy, manage, and operate complex applications in a Cloud environment (e.g., Azure) Support the implementation and ongoing reliability of new QRM vendor software and associated infrastructure Develop and maintain automation using shell script, PowerShell, Python, and other scripting languages Apply critical DevOps concepts including CI/CD, Configuration Management (CM), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Administer Windows environments and maintain/manage MS SQL databases (including SSRS/SSIS) Configure and manage big data technologies, databases, and data storage/indexing approaches Implement and manage infrastructure, services, and application monitoring and logging solutions Utilize configuration management tools such as SALT, Terraform, Ansible, or Chef for automated, repeatable deployments Work with CI/CD and development toolsets including Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Nexus, or similar platforms Troubleshoot highly complex technical issues across hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure Collaborate with QRM team members and stakeholders to ensure platform reliability and performance Handle highly-complex, multi-faceted assignments with strong organizational, follow-up, and priority-setting skills Ensure all work adheres to client standards, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations Work independently as a senior or lead developer and valued subject matter expert

Experience: 8 to 10+ years of overall experience in infrastructure engineering, site reliability, or related disciplines Senior-level experience deploying, managing, and operating complex applications in enterprise environments Proven track record of working independently on highly complex and multifaceted technical issues Experience in infrastructure, services, and application monitoring and logging Prior experience in financial services or regulated environments is highly advantageous QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) implementation experience is a strong asset Experience with migration into cloud environments, particularly Azure Background supporting Windows operating systems in enterprise settings Experience maintaining and managing MS SQL databases, including SSRS and SSIS components

Skillsets: Windows administration and PowerShell expertise Database administration experience, specifically maintaining and managing MS SQL databases (SSRS/SSIS) Cloud experience with Azure Services including IaaS and IaC Configuration management tools (SALT, Terraform, Ansible, or Chef) Development/Engineering experience in PowerShell, Bash, Shell, and Python CI/CD and repository tools: Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Nexus, or similar toolsets Understanding of shell script, PowerShell, Python, and the ability to code for automation Understanding of critical DevOps concepts (CI, CD, CM, IaC, etc.) and Agile principles Experience with infrastructure, services, and application monitoring and logging tools Configuring and managing big data technologies and databases Understanding of various approaches to data storage and indexing Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong organizational, follow-up, and priority-setting capabilities

Education: Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate required

Additional Qualifications: QRM implementation experience is a strong asset and highly preferred Migration experience into cloud environments (Azure) Strong engineering mindset with a sense of ownership Ability to work independently and handle highly-complex, multi-faceted assignments Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and business stakeholders

Certifications: Any relevant certifications would be a nice to have — Azure certifications preferred
