What You’ll Do

As a Foundant Implementation Consultant (IC), you are a key team member in the Client Delivery team responsible for driving the successful implementation of Foundant software products for new clients. The IC is responsible for leading, training, and consulting with clients to achieve a successful delivery ensuring alignment with the client’s objectives, obtainment of ROI, and overall business value. Implementation Consultants establish and maintain a positive client experience during the implementation process through the active demonstration of Foundant’s vision, core values, and brand.

Key Objectives

Directly support the successful end-to-end implementation of Foundant software solutions to new clients through effective teamwork, collaboration, and client engagement. Develop and maintain expert knowledge of Foundant software products. Provide clients with guidance on nonprofit sector practices. Support fellow Delivery team members internally to help drive implementations forward, share best practices, solve for unique client workflows and cover team member work as needed. Train a partial load portfolio of new clients on how to utilize Foundant software products. Assist new clients in the configuration of their Foundant software products ensuring the most efficient business process workflows are implemented to provide the greatest business value to the new client. Maintain a high level of communication with all levels of client interaction to ensure proactive, solution-oriented problem identification and resolution. Follow up on tasks and projects arising from client interactions. Use software and project management tools to work efficiently, promptly and completely to document and share essential information with colleagues and the business, track time logs and update implementation project progress. Provide clients with guidance on best practices on how to use Foundant’s solutions to support their grant and scholarship cycle workflows. Engage in the philanthropic and/or SaaS sectors to stay up-to date with emerging trends and critical needs of Foundant clients. Work with clients and Data Migration Specialists to assess any custom data migration requirements, possibilities, and limitations related to the client’s grant or scholarship workflows. Execute on identified areas for implementation program optimization. Responsible for implementation of a full load portfolio of standard, and some advanced-level and integrated client implementations, including large strategic accounts, UK-based and Universal Application. Responsible for Data, Design and Discovery (DDD) work prior to start of implementation training for standard-level complexity clients, where appropriate. Voice-of-the-Client (VOC) advocate, providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) direct consultation to the product team for feature changes and new feature rollouts Assist with the development and execution of any Client campaigns (system changes, new feature rollouts, internal feature and enhancement training, etc.) Directly contribute to the onboarding, mentorship, and training of new team members. Contribute to GLM/SLM Delivery departmental projects that may fall outside scope of regular duties Contribute to cross departmental priorities that support client success, including but not limited to: Education and marketing activities such as conducting educational webinars and group training sessions. Conference attendance, Regional Trainings, Summit, User Groups. Collaboration with Foundant’s Product Education team to ensure materials support ease of use by new clients of the Foundant software and excellent client experience. What You’ll Need

Familiarity with nonprofit relationships, preferably as an active participant from both the grant-making and grant-seeking sides during your career, with an understanding of how both sides can work together to achieve desired outcomes. Thorough knowledge of strategies and best practices used by the philanthropic sector. Direct experience with community foundations and/or education is preferred. At least 3 years experience in philanthropy (grantmaking, scholarship making, fund accounting, or donor relations) OR client and/or customer service in a SaaS company and/or related industry. Ability to identify and adjust training to client learning styles. Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn software programs and analyze data. Exceptional client satisfaction driven approach. Keen attention to detail for accuracy to deliver on internal and external customer requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple, concurrent tasks and deadlines. Experience with embracing change in a high-growth environment. Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 10%). Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
