Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Testing. Installation. Assembly. Tasks: Prepare and submit reports. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Train or arrange for training. Oversee safety of operations. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly. Make minor adjustments and repairs. Assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or finished products. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Assemble mechanical equipment. Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Overhead Crane Certification. Forklift Operator Certification.
