The Role:

Working as part of a collaborative team at Advanced Bending Technologies, the Shop Helper supports production operations and maintains shop efficiency by assisting with material handling, basic fabrication tasks, and general shop upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret work orders and follow production requirements
• Assist with material handling, including pipe layouts and movement of raw materials and finished products
• Perform production bending after machine setup is completed
• Support pipe processing activities including cutting and beveling
• Conduct basic measurement and quality checks on in-process and finished products
• Assist with torch cutting, saw cutting, washing, sand filling, and other shop tasks
• Label, package, and prepare finished products for shipment
• Perform shipping and receiving duties as required
• Maintain equipment and perform basic machine maintenance
• Ensure workstations and shop areas are clean, organized, and safe
• Work in accordance with the Quality Management System
• Complete all required production and quality documentation
• Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Forklift certification
• 3 months’ experience working with shop materials or in a manufacturing environment
• Quality management system knowledge: Production, receiving, shipping, inspection and testing, traceability, nonconformances, corrective and preventive action, document control, record control.
