Finish Dozer Operator - Civil Construction Location: Alberta (Central / Northern Projects) Company: Blackline Civil Position Type: Full-Time About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Finish Dozer Operator to join our construction team. We are a growing civil construction company specializing in earthworks, underground utilities, road building, site development, and commercial/industrial projects throughout Alberta. Key Responsibilities Operate dozers safely and efficiently on active construction sites Complete rough and finish grading to project specifications Strip topsoil, backfill trenches, spread material, and maintain site grades Read and understand grade stakes, laser levels, and site plans Work closely with foremen, grade crews, pipe crews, and surveyors Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance Report equipment deficiencies and repair needs promptly Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all company safety policies and OH&S regulations Assist with additional site duties as required Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 years of experience operating dozers in civil construction Experience with GPS machine control systems is an asset Strong understanding of grading and earthmoving operations Ability to work safely around underground utilities and other equipment Valid Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation CSTS-20, WHMIS, and Ground Disturbance Level II considered assets Ability to work long hours during peak construction season Strong work ethic, reliability, and team attitude What We’re Looking For Ability to make decisions quickly and solve problems in the field High accountability Team-first mindset with a focus on execution Commitment to safety, quality, and getting the job done right What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Extended health and benefits package Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding civil division Strong pipeline of work across Alberta
