Reporting to the Sr Manager, Enterprise Business Systems & Technologies, the AI Developer will design, build, and deploy artificial intelligence solutions that enhance the effectiveness of Trojan Technologies' water treatment processes and products. The AI Developer will contribute to the development of machine learning models, data pipelines, and AI-powered tools that drive operational insight and innovation. This is an opportunity to deepen your technical skills within a purpose-driven organization at the forefront of water quality technology. In this role, a typical day will look like: Design and develop machine learning models and AI algorithms to support Trojan Technologies' product and operational objectives Build and maintain scalable data pipelines that ensure reliable ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data for AI/ML workloads Implement AI-powered features and solutions that integrate with existing software platforms and products Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, product management, and data science—to define requirements and deliver impactful solutions Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, insights, and opportunities for AI-driven improvement. Execute model validation, testing, and performance monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability in production environments Support the deployment and maintenance of AI models using MLOps best practices The essential requirements of the job include: 2+ years of experience in AI/ML development or a closely related field Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline Strong hands-on experience with Python for production AI applications, including API development, data processing, prompt orchestration, evaluation pipelines, and integration with enterprise systems Experience designing and implementing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions, including document chunking, indexing, semantic and hybrid retrieval, grounding, citations, and evaluation of answer quality Experience implementing evaluation, monitoring, logging, and traceability for AI applications, including prompt/version control, quality assessment, hallucination reduction, runtime monitoring, and rollback planning Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure AI Foundry for enterprise AI development and lifecycle management. Experience with vector databases, semantic search, and hybrid retrieval strategies for enterprise knowledge assistants. Experience building governed AI copilots or agents using approved enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Copilot / Copilot Studio where appropriate. Background in applying AI solutions within industrial, environmental, or water technology domains. Experience with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or time-series forecasting. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms).
