Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients, supporting veterinarians, and ensuring a positive experience for pet owners. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures with precision and care
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results to aid in diagnosis and treatment plans
- Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens
- Maintain detailed medical records for each patient accurately and efficiently
- Provide client education on animal health, nutrition, and post-treatment care
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures and assist with recovery care
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and examination areas
- Support kennel duties such as feeding, bathing, and general care of hospitalized animals
Experience
- Valid license as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or equivalent certification required
- Prior laboratory experience is highly preferred to efficiently perform diagnostic testing
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific protocols
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners, team members, and vendors
- Ability to handle animals gently yet confidently, demonstrating compassion and professionalism at all times
