Role Description This full-time, on-site Elevator Mechanic role is based in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan Area. The Elevator Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various elevator systems to ensure safe and reliable operation. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, troubleshooting elevator malfunctions, and replacing or adjusting parts and components. The role also involves completing service reports, adhering to safety regulations and company procedures, and communicating clearly with clients and team members regarding work performed and recommended actions. The Elevator Mechanic works closely with other technicians and supervisors to plan service visits, respond to emergency calls, and support modernization or installation projects as needed. Qualifications Strong skills in Elevator Maintenance and general Maintenance & Repair, with experience servicing a variety of elevator systems. Proficiency in Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to Elevators and associated components. Solid understanding of Electricity as it applies to elevator controls, wiring, and safety circuits. Relevant technical training or certification in elevator mechanics, industrial mechanics, or a related field. Knowledge of local safety codes, regulations, and industry standards for vertical transportation equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and service documentation. Physical ability to work in confined spaces, use tools and equipment safely, and perform tasks that may involve lifting or working at heights.
