About the role
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Do you have experience working in this field?. Employment terms options: Shift. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Employment terms options: Flexible hours. Overtime available. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.). Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Support for Indigenous people: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations . Supports for visible minorities: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
