We are currently seeking qualified working Heavy Equipment Operator Foreman/Foreperson to join our on-site Construction team, for a 2 month project, based out of a remote camp location near Fort MacKay, Alberta. This position offers the opportunity to participate in construction on the Imperial Oil (IOL) Kearl Lake Sodium Citrate Injection Process System. The shift is planned to be 14 days on and 14 days off rotation, 10-hour days. While the preference is to hire candidates who resides locally, fly-in, fly-out from Edmonton, Alberta or Calgary, Alberta will be available based on eligibility. Hourly rate: $58.39/hr. Job Description Duties & Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate equipment operators and crews Plan and execute daily work to meet schedule and productivity targets Enforce HSE requirements and lead safety meetings Ensure compliance with ground disturbance and permits Strong knowledge of and experience operating equipment such as excavators, zoom booms, skid steers, and ride-on compactors. Oversee excavation, grading, and material handling activities Conduct equipment checks and ensure safe operation Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with drawings/specifications Qualifications Valid Heavy Equipment Operator certification or equivalent experience 7+ years of heavy civil construction experience (oil sands/mining preferred) Proven experience leading crews in earthworks, site preparation, and infrastructure projects Experience in live operating environments (e.g., oil sands brownfield sites) and/or large EPC Projects is an asset Demonstrated experience in earthworks, site preparation, and infrastructure work Strong knowledge of safe work practices and ground disturbance requirements Ability to read and interpret drawings and specification WHMIS, Incident Investigation and Wildlife Awareness would be considered an asset Required Tickets: Fall Arrest, First Aid (Intermediate) & GD Level II and Zoom Boom certification is required Additional Information Why Join BEMAC?
