In this current open role you will:

  • Oversee and manage the organization’s cloud infrastructure (potentially across multiple public cloud platforms) to ensure high availability, optimal performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for cloud services and monitors resource utilization to meet service level objectives while controlling costs.

  • Drive continuous improvement of cloud operational processes through automation and innovation.
  • Champion DevOps/SRE best practices – such as use of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration management – to streamline deployments and reduce manual work.
  • Explore and evaluate emerging technologies (including AI-powered operations tools and advanced monitoring capabilities) to enhance system monitoring, alerting, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Ensure cloud operations comply with all relevant security standards, data protection policies, and regulatory requirements. Implements appropriate security controls and monitoring mechanisms (in coordination with Information Security) to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
  • Oversees governance processes such as access management, change control, and documentation of cloud configurations, ensuring alignment with corporate IT policies and audit requirements.

The Qualifications and experience we like to see:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and/or cloud operations, including at least 3+ years in a leadership role (e.g., team lead, technical manager) overseeing cloud or infrastructure teams.
  • In-depth, hands-on experience managing and supporting large-scale cloud environments on major public cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) in production.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, virtualization, networking, storage, and security best practices for cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and automation scripts to deploy and maintain cloud resources.
  • Solid understanding of system monitoring, logging, and incident response processes in a 24x7 operational context.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud services.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of effectively leading technical teams or projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with the ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate with vendors/partners as needed.
  • Comfort with exploring and utilizing emerging technologies (e.g., AI-driven operations tools, intelligent automation) to improve processes and outcomes. A proactive mindset that embraces continuous learning and innovation in cloud operations practices.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (Apigee & Cloud Run) and environments.
