Job Description Summary

The Technical Designer is responsible for developing architectural and technical design solutions to support customer projects. This role produces detailed construction documentation, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures designs align with client requirements, building codes, and project specifications.

Job Description

• Develop and produce construction documentation including plans, elevations, sections, details, and specifications

• Collaborate with Sales, Design, and cross-functional teams to deliver tailored design solutions for customers

• Assess site conditions and prepare test fit plans to evaluate design feasibility

• Create architectural layouts and design concepts aligned with client needs, budgets, and project requirements

• Prepare and present design concepts, proposals, and technical materials to internal stakeholders and clients

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation of all design-related information

• Apply knowledge of building codes and standards to ensure compliance in all designs

• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturing partners, and external stakeholders as required

• Support project execution by maintaining design documentation and responding to design-related inquiries

  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through ongoing learning and development
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and contribute to a safe working environment
  • Perform other related duties as required to support business needs

Qualifications:

Education and Experience
• Diploma in Architectural Technology or related field preferred

• 3+ years of experience in a design or technical drafting role

• Experience producing construction drawings and technical documentation

Key Competencies
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

• Strong understanding of building codes and construction standards

• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy

• Creativity and ability to translate client needs into practical design solutions

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Effective communication and presentation skills

• Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple projects

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$66,500.00 - $99,700.00 Annual
