About the role
Do you enjoy hands-on work and being outdoors? As a Field Technician at Rosor, you’ll support UAV survey operations in remote and rugged environments across North America and internationally. This is an active, physically demanding role where you’ll assist supervisors, pilots, and geophysical staff with on-site tasks to ensure smooth and successful survey missions. You’ll receive training in UAV procedures, field safety, equipment handling, and geophysical workflows, making this an ideal opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who learn quickly and work well as part of a field crew.
Key Responsibilities Operational Support: Assist with UAV setup, flights, sensors, power systems, and ground equipment during data acquisition. Field & Equipment Management: Track, maintain, troubleshoot, and organize all field gear, vehicles, and workstations; support daily setup and teardown. Documentation & Reporting: Complete logs, checklists, notes, environmental records, and report hazards or anomalies. Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, participate in hazard assessments, and maintain awareness around equipment and aircraft. Professional Conduct: Represent Rosor professionally and contribute to a positive, communicative field team environment.
Requirements Must-Have Must be residing in Canada Ability to work in remote areas and variable/adverse weather Physically fit (able to lift 50+ lbs, walk long distances, work outdoors for long periods) Valid driver’s license Strong teamwork and communication abilities Willingness to travel extensively and work rotational schedules Ability to follow structured checklists and procedures Assets (But Not Required) UAV/drone experience (any platform) Mechanical aptitude or experience with tools Experience in geophysics, forestry, trades, surveying, construction, or outdoor work First Aid certification Snowmobile/ATV experience
