About the role
Job Description What is the Opportunity? The Network Security Service Operations team safeguards RBC and CNB's Network Infrastructure by tracking and remediating vulnerabilities and mitigating service outages. In this role, you will provide technical expertise necessary for the successful implementation, maintenance and support of modern security technologies. You will be regularly working with technical and business partners, vendors to resolve incidents/problems, perform root cause analysis, and deliver infrastructure upgrades and stability across the global RBC and CNB Enterprise (North & South America, Caribbean, Europe, Asia-Pacific). What will you do? Responding to network security event and incident escalations from first-level support Network Operations, internal/external clients and business partners Performing root cause analysis with vendor engineers and escalation teams for incidents and problems, along with implementing permanent solutions Responsible for planning and executing software code upgrades including patch management to maintain Technology Currency Execution of network and security infrastructure configuration changes across the global enterprise to adhere to technical security standards and resolve vulnerabilities Creating and continuously improving support / process documentation Security lead for Planned activities such as Disaster Recovery exercise, power maintenance activities and major network changes Participating in meetings and training sessions to review and understand new technologies Provide technical requirements and validate functionality in the lab before production implementation Identify and recommend opportunities for automation of repetitive tasks What do you need to succeed? Must Have: Strong experience working with one or more of the following network and security appliances/vendors: Palo Alto, Cisco ASA,CheckPoint, Fortinet, Pulse Secure, Citrix, SSLv, Cisco Firepower, Blue Coat ProxySG, FireEye, Arbor, Akamai Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, including packet inspection/protocol analysis using packet analyzers for troubleshooting is highly desired Good understanding of key protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/SFTP, Telnet, SSL, NAT, IPSEC, etc. Excellent understanding of the OSI model Nice-to-Have: CISSP certification CCNP R&S certification or equivalent level of knowledge What’s in it for you?
