<p>Position Posting Journeyperson Plumber/Gas Fitter  (1 Position Available)   Term of Employment: Full-Time, Continuing Rate of Pay: Band 6: $39.86 – $43.53 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement) Current Location: Operations Centre Duties: The Journeyperson Plumber/Gas Fitter will be responsible to install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components to all City Facilities.  To maintain the highest level of function and safety for all City of Lloydminster owned facilities.</p><p>Responding in emergency situations in an efficient and professional manner.</p><p>Perform routine and preventative Plumbing and Heating maintenance to buildings and facilities.</p><p>Plumber Gas Fitter Duties Install, repair and maintain plumbing, heating systems and associated components.</p><p>Install, repair and maintain washroom components including toilets, sinks, faucets and water heaters.</p><p>Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance service on plumbing, heating systems and fixtures.</p><p>Identify and prepare tools, equipment and materials to perform tasks.  Visually inspects pipe systems and fixtures for condition and leaks.</p><p>Measures, cuts, thread, bends solvent cements and soldering of pipes and fittings.</p><p>Ensures all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are adhered to.</p><p>Assembles and installs valves and fittings.</p><p>Maintains backflow valves and systems and facilitates annual inspections.</p><p>Maintains sump pumps and lift stations.</p><p>Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and sanatory systems.</p><p>Provides repair solutions to supervisor or facility manager.</p><p>Ensures that materials are stored in a safe and orderly manner.</p><p>Maintains, cleans and organizes all job related tools.</p><p>Sustains a valid and current journeyperson certification Reports all issues and concerns with equipment, safety, facilities, and procedures to supervisor.</p><p>Obtaining permits as required.</p><p>Maintains daily legible reports and paperwork Adhere to all City Directives and Policies.</p><p>Other Other related duties as required.</p><p>May be required to work some overtime and the occasional On-Call.</p><p>Schedule: The position involves work in various City facilities and may be exposed to inclement weather conditions and varying facility temperatures.</p><p>Normal working hours are between 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.</p><p>with the occasional requirement to work outside these standard hours.</p><p>Qualifications: A minimum of Grade 12 education or GED equivalency.</p><p>Minimum 5yrs previous journeyperson accredited commercial plumbing and heating experience Strong communication skills (writing, speaking, listening) are required.</p><p>Basic computer skills in areas such as in Microsoft Suite including Microsoft and Word.</p><p>Ability to navigate on the internet, use Smartphones and Timesheet apps would be considered an asset.</p><p>Strong customer service skills with the ability to deal with the public and building tenants courteously and in an effective manner.</p><p>Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills is required.</p><p>Must have the ability to work responsibly alone with minimal supervision and work well with other employees.</p><p>Must be in good physical condition and be able to stand for long period of time with bending and reaching motions, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.  Must be able to work at height and in confined spaces.</p><p>Must have a valid Class 5 vehicle operator's license with a clear driving record; a mandatory driver’s abstract is to be provided with application submission.</p><p>Current valid Journeyperson plumbing and gas fitting certification required Must be able to safely operate equipment and hand tools in an efficient, responsible manner in accordance with recognized procedures.</p><p>Pre-Emplo
