Requirements: Graduate from Civil Engineering Technology or Engineering Drafting & Design Technology from an accredited institution 3-5 years of related experience (C.E.T. registration) Experience in civil design and CAD drafting of civil infrastructure projects (e.g., underground infrastructure and utilities, road work, site grading, drainage, and stormwater management) Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD (feature lines, grading tools, corridors, and other civil 3D design tools. Ability to work with survey data, produce digital terrain models, 3D surfaces, corridors, and profiles Strong written, and verbal communication skills Attention to detail Committed team player Occasional travel to project locations will be required Ability to manage time effectively, problem solve, and work under pressure and meet deadlines Familiar with UTM grid system, survey files, DEMs, and orthoreferenced photos considered an asset Autodesk AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D certification considered an asset

Duties and Responsibilities: Working with Design and Engineering staff to prepare engineering drawings, quantities, specifications, and cost estimates Preparing key plans, site plans, and site design drawings including cross-sections, profiles, details, construction drawings, as-built drawings, figures, sketches, figures for presentation in reports and proposals Responsible for ensuring the engineering drawings and specifications meet established project criteria and applicable standards Successfully develop relationships with engineers, technologists, technicians, and construction personnel Responsible for ensuring engineering drawings and specifications meet established project criteria and applicable standards Utilization of industry specific software and related technologies in design and analysis Assist in the preparation of specific sections of reports, proposals, budgets, project plans, and other supporting documentation as required When necessary, involvement with a variety of stakeholders for project approvals and permitting purposes Meet with clients regarding projects, progress reporting, and the resolution of technical issues, when required
