About the role
We are currently seeking a full-time certified CWB Level 2 Welding Inspector to oversee weld quality control, monitor NDE processes, and ensure strict compliance with CSA, ASME, and TSSA standards throughout our manufacturing operations. The hours will typically be Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The successful candidate will be required to work evenings and weekends based on project needs.
Base wage: $45.00 - $55.00 / hour

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Performing visual inspections on welds as per standard procedures
- Tracking quality control records
- Working with control code materials
- Assisting with the preparation of test plans and weld maps
- Monitoring ultrasonic and radiographic inspections
- Performing mechanical testing of welds
- Monitoring weld parameters during trials
- Collecting data for weld procedures to be submitted for approval
- Ensuring sign-off and quality documents are accurate and are maintained though out the manufacturing process
- Confirming welding is performed to the approved procedures
- Issuing non-conformance reports as appropriate
- Ensuring NDE is performed in conjunction with established procedures

Key Experience/Education:
- CWB Welding Inspector Level 2 certification required
- College level education, or equivalent work / trade experience required
- 5-7 years’ previous Welding Inspection experience required
- Experience with CSA, ASME, TSSA required
- Knowledge in welding power sources, stress and distortion, metallurgy, welding equipment, consumables and material specifications considered an asset
- Knowledge of PAW, GMAW, GTAW, and Hot Wire Orbital is an asset
- Other Welding or NDE certifications considered a strong asset
- Field experience is an asset
