Journeyman Truck and Trailer Technician

Join our Truck and Trailer Shop Mechanics team! At Kidco Construction Ltd., our mechanics are essential to keeping our fleet in top condition and ready for any challenge. We are looking for a Journeyman On-Road Technician and a 3rd Year Apprentice On-Road Technician. Both positions play crucial roles in getting our equipment back on the road, ensuring our projects have the necessary tools to succeed. Our shop emphasizes a collaborative, team-driven atmosphere to get the job done. Your skills and expertise will help us keep our trucks and trailers ready for any task.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Has either a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certificate, or a 3rd-Year Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice.
• Has experience with CAT, Paccar, Cummins, and International engines and chassis
• Is qualified and skilled at performing CVIP inspections
• Possesses a valid Class 5 License with air endorsement and a clean driver’s abstract (Class 1 or 3 is an asset)
• Is skilled in working on both stationary and smaller mobile construction equipment like generators and lighting plants
• Is capable of working up to 12 hours per day, 6 days per week during peak season
• Owns basic tools
• Is fluent in speaking and writing English
• The successful candidate must be willing to work shift work as well as have reliable transportation to work each day
