The Opportunity:
We are looking for a talented Email Marketing Specialist to take the lead with our email marketing strategies. This role will be responsible for running end‑to‑end email marketing campaigns using Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), including email, SMS, and web and mobile push notifications.

As an Email Marketing Specialist, your role is to reach and engage customers through personalized, data‑driven campaigns and operational communications.
Reporting to the Director, Marketing Technology, this collaborative individual will be responsible for leading all external email marketing tactics in support of our digital wealth business, leveraging Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Journey Optimizer capabilities.

What your day looks like:
Working closely with the individuals across Marketing, you will be responsible for:
Contact Strategy
- Strategically contact contact consumers, reaching out to specific subsets based on our targeted audience parameters
- Identify email best practices and email calendars based on effective campaign timing.
- Design contact methods that not only target the appropriate consumers but also develop and refine audience segments optimized for business and customer objectives
Campaign & Journey Creation
- Build, configure, and deploy digital campaigns and journeys in Adobe Journey Optimizer, overseeing all aspects from design through technical setup
- Ensure campaigns are aligned with the company’s overall strategy, branding, and marketing and business objectives.
- Ensure campaigns are accessible and functional on both desktop and mobile devices
Campaign & Journey Management
- Own the day-to-day execution and maintenance of live journeys and campaigns in AJO
- Throughout the course of an email marketing campaign, this individual will manage email lists for the campaigns and create an ongoing schedule of content.
- Identify and address technical issues in conjunction with the Email Marketing Service provider.
- Monitor email performance and make required adjustments to maximize performance
Data Management
- After each email marketing campaign, analyze data to identify opportunities for future improvement
- Baseline campaign performance against other business units and industry norms
- Optimize our data management process, including the ingestion of data into the ESP from our core data systems
- Determine the optimal manner of managing bespoke requests, in conjunction with our advanced analytics team
- Apply data and insights to continuously improve targeting, personalization, and journey effectiveness
Requirements
Your experience and skills:
Success in this role will be determined by the candidate’s ability to successfully manage requests and deliver email marketing communications with excellence. It requires an individual that pays close attention to the details that help deliver results. The ideal candidate would join the organization with knowledge and skills as outlined below:
Background:
- 2+ years in an email marketing role, including experience building & deploying email campaigns
- A minimum of 5 years working with Marketing teams to deliver digital campaigns
- Experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer (or similar journey orchestration platforms)
- Experience working with Adobe Experience Platform or customer data platforms (CDPs), including audience and profile concepts
- Experience performing quality assurance checks on both the build and deployment of email marketing campaigns with a keen attention to detail
- Team player with organization and people experience, including setting priorities and problem-solving, preferably in financial services
- University degree or college diploma. Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable

- Experience working with external media agencies

- Demonstrated experience with managing large complex projects involving multiple stakeholders from beginning to end
- The ability to work under deadline pressure and ability to manage multi-faceted initiatives
- Ability to work in a fast paced and multi-disciplinary environment
- Team-orientated, collaborative and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills to measure success and inform future initiatives
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with an Email Marketing platform is a must-have
- Experience with front-end coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc.
- Experience designing and executing cross channel journeys (email, SMS, push)
- Knowledge of email measurement and data management
- Experience implementing and/or managing email marketing platforms
- Understanding of CASL, PIPEDA and other regulatory requirements
- Experience with digital analytics and other digital marketing tools would be advantageous

Salary
This position is posted with an expected salary range of $83,000 - $100,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
