Role Description The Forewoman role at RCS Membrane is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area. This role leads and coordinates a crew on membrane and related construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. Daily tasks include assigning work, monitoring progress, providing guidance on techniques and safety procedures, and resolving issues that arise on site. The Forewoman oversees the use of heavy equipment and tools, supports carpentry and installation activities, and ensures proper maintenance of equipment and work areas. The role also involves clear communication with project managers, suppliers, and team members, maintaining documentation of work performed, and promoting a positive, respectful work environment. Qualifications Strong supervisory skills, including crew leadership, task delegation, and on-site coordination. Hands-on experience operating and overseeing heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting. Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, contractors, and management. Practical carpentry skills, including measuring, cutting, and installing structural components and membranes. Maintenance skills to ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept in safe, working condition. Proven track record of working safely, with knowledge of relevant safety standards and practices. Previous experience in construction, roofing, or membrane installation is highly beneficial. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area.
