About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Lead AI Engineer (Vice President) to join Citigroup's Wholesale Technology division. This pivotal role is designed for individuals passionate about agentic AI, focusing on the design, architecture, and deployment of intelligent solutions that revolutionize banking operations. As a Lead AI Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing advanced agentic workflows and generative AI platforms, playing a critical role in enhancing operational efficiencies and supporting innovative financial products. Your expertise will drive the creation of multi-agent systems, enabling the bank to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving AI landscape. Qualifications
6-10 years of relevant experience in AI and machine learning, with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions. Minimum of 2 years focused specifically on agentic AI systems and autonomous AI development. Extensive hands-on experience as a lead developer in designing and deploying autonomous AI systems. Subject Matter Expert in Python programming, with strong proficiency in developing scalable AI solutions. Solid knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure efficient development cycles. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to optimize AI agent performance, latency, and robustness. Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities to guide engineering teams and promote best practices in MVP-driven development. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of agentic AI solutions that address complex banking challenges. Architect advanced multi-LLM systems, ensuring seamless integration and scalability across platforms. Optimize AI agent performance, focusing on reducing latency and enhancing reliability to support real-time banking operations. Maintain and enhance robust data pipelines and event-driven architectures that underpin AI solutions. Mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, MVP-driven development, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical AI solutions. Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and technologies, evaluating their applicability to Citi’s strategic initiatives. Ensure compliance with data security, privacy standards, and regulatory requirements in all AI deployments.
