Journeyperson Electricians Required - Valard Construction (Fergus, ON)

The Canadian Union of Skilled Workers (CUSW) is currently recruiting Journeyperson Electricians for work with Valard Construction in Fergus, Ontario.

Duration: 3+ months

Compensation

Total Wage Package: $74.64/hour

Breakdown

Base Wage: $58.58 Vacation & Stat Pay: $5.86 Health & Welfare: $3.75 RRSP Contribution: $6.00

Please Note: There is no Living Out Allowance (LOA) and no travel allowance associated with this project.

Schedule

Monday to Friday 11-hour shifts Hours worked beyond 40 per week are optional but strongly encouraged

Scope of Work

Site cleanup and maintenance Ground grid installation Underground PVC conduit installation Cable pulling (small and large cable) Cable terminations Equipment setting and installation Fence and equipment grounding Substation installation as required

Requirements

Candidates must:

Hold a valid Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification Speak and understand English Be prepared to work outdoors Supply their own tools in accordance with the collective agreement Arrive on site with: Safety boots High-visibility vest and/or long-sleeve high-visibility shirt (FR clothing is not required at this time)

Mandatory Pre-Employment Training

In Accordance With The CUSW/Valard Construction Collective Agreement All Referrals Must Provide Proof Of Completion Of The Following Training Prior To Arriving On Site

Valard New Hire Orientation Canada WHMIS MOL Worker or Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness Training

Important: Candidates must have completed all required training and possess all required tools before reporting to site.
