The Swamper will perform tasks requiring physical labor given to them by supervisors and managers. These tasks may include working at the tank pit, washing and repairing tanks, preparing and loading culvert orders, delivering culvert, maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of yard and shop area, operating hand and power tools and small mechanical hoists, assisting equipment operators at shop and yard and on client sites, assembling equipment and materials at yard and on client sites. Duties may also include driving pick-ups for piloting jobs, hotshot and parts runs. Receive directions and duties from dispatch, supervisors, management and equipment operators. Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety management. Operates a variety of shop power tools and equipment such as grinders, drills, saws, and air compressors. Completes necessary documentation and safety requirements pertaining to tasks being performed. Participates in training and safety meetings when required. Utilizes safety equipment and training while performing assigned tasks.
