Position: Journeyperson Electrician

Locations: Red Deer, Eckville, and Rocky Mountain House

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation Package:

Base Rate: $43.07 - $47.77 per hour, depending on experience.

Vacation Pay: 10% of base rate, consisting of 6% Vacation Pay and 4% Statutory Pay.

Retirement Savings Plan (RSP): 7% of base hourly rate, calculated on base rate.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our dynamic team. Flexibility to work out of town on project opportunities is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations. They will be responsible for performing a wide range of electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The Journeyperson Electrician will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of projects while upholding our commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in accordance with local codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to plan and execute electrical projects effectively.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, ensuring timely resolution.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to determine wiring layouts.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for self and team members.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentice electricians as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in electrical technology.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed to specifications and on time.

Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician license/certification.
• Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician in industrial settings.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and codes.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to safety protocols and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in various work conditions.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
