About the role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: At heights. Dusty. Outdoors. Work setting: Commercial. Residential. Work in employer's/client's home. Tasks: Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster. Clean and prepare surfaces. Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners. Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists. Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry. Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Flexibility. Reliability. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
