Join our team as an NPI Quality Specialist and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our new product introductions. Your expertise in DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and Control Plans will contribute to maintaining our high standards of safety, integrity, and performance. This role also emphasizes strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and direct engagement with customers to uphold and enhance product quality. What You Will Do Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Control to Facilitate the development and implementation of Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEAs), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEAs), and Control Plans to ensure robust design and manufacturing processes. Monitor and follow up on recommended actions from FMEAs as well as overall NPI project deliverables for fidelity to RCLP – JCI’s stage-gate process. Interact with customers to address their needs and concerns while providing technical guidance and updates on quality initiatives. Act as the voice of the customer within internal discussions, ensuring their requirements and expectations are met effectively. As required, assist or lead Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and 8D problem-solving processes related to warranty claims or commissioning issues. As required, participate in plant and/or process improvement workshops or Kaizens How You Will Do It Take responsibility and ensure accountability to maintain the highest standards of safety and integrity in all quality assurance activities, fostering trust with stakeholders. Engage directly with operational workflows, removing obstacles and focusing on critical issues to drive efficiency and support customer success. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging candid communication, collaborative problem-solving, and iterative advancements in quality practices. Work inclusively with diverse teams, leveraging their strengths and perspectives to achieve collective success and innovation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or technical field or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in facilitating DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and Control Plans in a manufacturing or product development environment. Experience in interacting with customers and acting as their representative within internal teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality improvement. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams. Preferred Experience with a stage-gate product development process. Project management (PMP), Lean/Six Sigma training, Green or Black Belt. Familiarity with reading 2D part drawings and understanding GD&T, CAD software. HIRING SALARY RANGE: $92,000 - $126,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
