Our client, recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, is currently looking for an experienced forklift operator (loader) to join their warehouse team located in Dorval.

Reporting to the warehouse supervisor, the forklift operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of goods using a sit-down electric forklift in an LTL and cross-dock environment.

Responsibilities:

-       Operate a sit-down electric forklift in accordance with safety standards.

-       Efficiently unload trailers.

-       Load trailers in compliance with applicable safety and transportation standards while maximizing the use of available space. It is essential to ensure that pallets are properly secured to prevent shifting or falling during transport.

-       Use a scanner to organize pallets and track the movement of goods.

-       Perform palletizing and loading based on cube size and weight distribution.

-       Place goods in trailers according to established loading procedures.

-       Perform basic maintenance of the forklift.

-       Carry out any other related tasks in support of operations.

Requirements:

-       3 to 4 years of experience operating sit-down electric forklifts (essential).

-       2 to 3 years of experience in an LTL and/or cross-dock environment (mandatory).

-       Experience stacking pallets using load bars.

-       Valid forklift operator certification (mandatory).

Salary: $26 per hour
Schedule: Evening shift, starting at 5:00 p.m.
